Activities / Community Service

The GPSA Activities Committee organizes monthly socials and events open to all graduate and professional students. Socials are held close to campus, and complimentary appetizers are provided.


GPSA monthly socials are intended to provide an informal forum for networking and conversation among students from across the various colleges and disciplines. Free appetizers are provided until funds are depleted. Contact your department representative or the GPSA Social Chair, William Saas, for more information.

What: Welcome mixer for new and returning graduate and professional students
When: Friday, August 21, 2009 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Where: Stan Fulton Lounge (corner of Paradise & Flamingo Road, or go http://maps.unlv.edu/map-main.html and look for the IGI Building, International Gaming Institue/Stan Fulton Bldg.)

GPSA Community Service

The GPSA Community Service Committee has participated in events for the Habitat for Humanity, Red Rock Clean-Up, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and the AFAN Annual AIDS walk.   • Holiday Drive for Kids takes place November 3rd - December 5th. The GPSA Community Service Committee is asking for toys/books, new and gently used clothing for children of all ages and nonperishable food items, i.e. canned goods, etc. Donation boxes are located in the GPSA office, Lied Library room 3251. If you have items that you would like picked up please e-mail Chair, Candace Griffith.
